Get the Look: Canadian Tuxedo
Posted On June 10th, 2014 by Candice PantinWhen thinking of Brittany Spears and Justin Timberlake’s relationship, there is one picture that glares in our minds. Not sure which one we’re referring to? Two words: Canadian. Tuxedo. Ever since being infamously sported by the duo at the 2001 American Music Awards (along with an equally infamous cowboy hat), the Canadian tuxedo has been widely revered in the fashion world. In fact, we distinctly remember being told never to pair denim on denim as young fashionistas. Similar to wearing white after Labour Day, though, the Canadian Tuxedo is no longer a fashion faux-pas! A simple and easy way to conform to this trend is to pair a denim button-down with a denim skirt, cutoffs, or jeans (if you’re feeling extra trendy, we recommend trying flared jeans!). If you’re not feeling any of the foregoing looks, you can always rip a page out of JT’s style book and don a denim suit (but please leave the Steston at home!). If you want our opinion, we think it’s time to bring sexy back to this denim-on-denim look.
